Our Glaval Autoform GM Vandura got it's right side mirror wacked the other day and it looks as though the mirror is separated from some internal part but, the power motor still moves it. I have not been able to find a lick of information on the inner workings of theses mirrors and they appear to be extremely rare. Subsequently I have been reluctant to examine with too much force. Any folks able to shed some light on how to go about repairing one of these power mirrors without potentially damaging it further? Much obliged. | | | Re: Power Mirror Replacement | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 2,290 Likes: 137 veteran | veteran Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 2,290 Likes: 137 | They're not typically a repairable part. Body shops usually just replace them with aftermarket, but if yours are rare, you may need to start scouring eBay or the junkyards. | | | Re: Power Mirror Replacement | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 559 | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 559 | The ele mirrors are hard to find (Ive only ever seen 2 sets) and the body of the mirror is riveted together ...
