Hey Vanners ,,, Alpine Express here, My other van is a 91 dodge b 250. I just got the odometer fixed, my next problem is the gas gauge is bouncing from full to empty. Looking for some help on repairs, not sure where to start,

I would start with the sending unit. I've never had the gauge itself go bad, but have replaced multiple sending units.

Looking it up on Google I couldn't find a sending unit, but with this fuel pump it looks like the sending unit is made into the pump. I bet there's a bad ground on the sending unit's connection on that pump, or on the gauge itself.

Yes, it is in the tank. If yours is like mine then you have to drop the tank to get to it. That's not as bad as it sounds, i did it to mine and I don't recall too much trauma.

Here is a picture, the sender and pump are in one unit that comes out of the top of the tank

I had the same issue on my ex-94 B250...gas gauge floating around. The whole shebang had to be replaced...and do yourself a favor and try to get OEM. The parts store units are garbage.

What Nate said, go with an OEM, I worked at a local auto repair as a helper during layoffs from the factory, some of the aftermarkets didn't last a week, and many we towed back in within a month.
