Help! I'm trying to replace the turn signal switch (76 B100) and after removing the 2 screws in the housing I cant get it off, what am I missing? Is there something I have to do with the bearing?

Did you remove the metal retainer and also the signal arm. You will also have to loosen up the metal cover plate further down the column to pull the wires out with the switch.

Yeah, I removed the signal arm, the whole switch is hanging to the side, I also remove the cover on top of the column. Is it possible the bearing is just corroded on there. It's normal suppose to just slide up after everything is removed right?
