Go away, you!
9 below tonight.
If it wasn't for covid I was going to spend February around the Gulf in Texas. Guess I was just as good here. Saved a grand for the summer I guess
That might have worked out for the best for you, then.
Nothing worse than going south for the winter only to get more winter.
It's 25 here, right now.
Feels kind of warm compared to the past few days.
We've got a light blanket of about 3" of snow.
I don't get the store rush thing either.
Do people only buy groceries one day's worth at a time?
I think it's a carry over from the 50s or something, or maybe even some instinctual kind of preparatory response.
We've been going out for drives everyday (4 of our cars are 4-wheel drive) just for fun.
I actually graded three of them on how good they were in the snow.
My little Samurai won, hands down.
I love the snow, but hate the cold.
I spent a priso... I mean, military tour in Anchorage back in the '90s, and the only thing I miss about that place (besides the scenery) is driving in the snow.
When it snows here, I jump in something and go for a drive.
It's one of the few skills I have that I'm really proud of, and of course, it goes mostly unused down here.
Sometimes I wish I could share my abilities with others.
People get nervous about snowy roads, but I get excited.
