Hell, they sold a '58 VW Beetle shell the other day. | | | Re: 1974 Chevy G series - Pick-N-Pull Chico, CA | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 1,245 Likes: 12 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 1,245 Likes: 12 | Our yards aren't allowed to sell them whole anymore if they're already on the books. Frigging sucks, because I know where there a few G series shorty vans hiding in the woods when I was last searching, but I wasn't allowed to take them out. | | | Re: 1974 Chevy G series - Pick-N-Pull Chico, CA | Joined: Jul 2019 Posts: 2,232 Likes: 25 Sara Lee Master | Sara Lee Master Joined: Jul 2019 Posts: 2,232 Likes: 25 | Wow. That "Entire" G10 looks ok from the front pic. Chico might as well be mars for me right now. | | | Re: 1974 Chevy G series - Pick-N-Pull Chico, CA | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 15,358 Likes: 26 | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 15,358 Likes: 26 | Our yards aren't allowed to sell them whole anymore if they're already on the books. Tell them you want all the parts to that van except the windshield wiper ...lol Trust me I have tried. The only way I can get a whole vehicle out is to cut most of it apart and reassemble at home. There are a few old sleds that aren't on the books. I barely missed a 1946 Chevy pickup a couple years ago for a few hundred bucks. Probably a good thing as I have too much crap sitting around at the moment and need to thin things down a lot. | | | Re: 1974 Chevy G series - Pick-N-Pull Chico, CA | Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 2,576 Likes: 20 Rust N Dents | Rust N Dents Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 2,576 Likes: 20 | I don't know how they're doing it here. It seems that they get vehicles in, then decide if they'll resell them or send them to the yard. I bought a 2002 Subaru Forester from our Pick-N-Pull about a month ago. Put a new rear wheel bearing and hub assembly, a new radiator, some new front brakes (Brembo cross-drilled rotors. lol), and some Sparco rally wheels on it, and she's nearly ready for the road. ...Probably a good thing as I have too much crap sitting around at the moment and need to thin things down a lot. Tell me about it... I think we're up to 13. Only 2 don't move under their own power though, so there's that. | | | Re: 1974 Chevy G series - Pick-N-Pull Chico, CA | Joined: Jul 2019 Posts: 2,232 Likes: 25 Sara Lee Master | Sara Lee Master Joined: Jul 2019 Posts: 2,232 Likes: 25 | frske1: That's a Good One ! | | |
