Greetings,

Right before I was about to take the van on another road trip to Vegas, today it decided that the driver side window did not need to go back up. I'm not sure where to start looking, however it would appear that from the driver side, it is working that it will lower both the driver and passenger front windows.

I can hear a click when I try to lower the driver side window, and also it actually works correctly to lower the passenger window. But to raise the passenger window back up I have to use the switch that is on the passenger door, and I cannot raise the driver door at all.

I'm not sure how the wiring is if there's an "up" motor or windows "up" fuse for the driver side, I cannot find a window fuse. Any advice as to where to start is appreciated. I'm currently just pissed off because this always happens to me where things go wrong at the exact worst time.

Thanks

You need a new switch ... they pop out of the door, held in by a clip....

If it's just a switch I'd be thankful. I wonder if I can jumper it to get the window to close...

It was the switch. Was an easy fix, however, someone happened to think that the clips weren't enough and the old switch was sealed with silicone sealant in the switch panel. A blow torch and some persistence later, we're all good.

Like my wife's Impala the other day. She's coming home from work and the driver's window decided to just fall down into the door. It's an '09 with almost 200K...guess it was due. lol
