Older GM vehicles (early 70's and older, not sure when they switched to cable exactly) had a mechanical arm linkage assembly from the pedal to the carb. I had one that "stuck" sometimes causing me to do burnouts at the stoplights in front of my friends, luckily the cop was nice enough to let me off with a warning. Try lubricating everything, but also check the return spring on the carb as they can be swapped around for stiff or loose springs to suit your needs. | | |
