Guy here bought nylon grooved bearings for his door linked to amazon in the thread
edit link is on page 2

The nylon roller bearings linked to in that thread will replace the nylon guide bushing that slides on the upper track (GM part #356023), not the larger metal rollers.

Are these just for the horizontal and vertical bearings on the lower track bracket? Those are riveted in...did you drill them out? And what about the top bearing that rides in the c channel? Not only is mine totally shot, I don't have the spacer that goes under the bearing either.....

The amazon link is for the upper rollers I believe. Scrojira listed a number for the roller on the lower door, but it looks like it's a hard to find part.

Ya THINK?....the damn door parts are pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to find. As I go through this project, I guess I am both surprised and disappointed that there is not more available, even from the cottage industry. With the seemingly more and more popular and in desire movement, I would have thought things would have been easier. You can actually build early 70s trucks from the GROUND UP, with brand new EVERYTHING, and yet the van parts are elusive and unavailable.

NOOOOOO. Christ on a crusty crumpet, why doesn't anyone read anything?

The part number I provided is for the GUIDE BUSHING (#420 on the diagram frscke1 posted). The nylon wheels we were talking about in that other thread that nobody actually reads replaces that guide bushing.

Sorry, I read through your post quickly. (failed at reading comp there). Which numbers is he looking for? I'm assuming 398 as well as all the upper stuff as well?
EDIT: https://newjersey.craigslist.org/ptd/d/great-bend-update-parts-project-cars/7227327334.html
this craigslist add keeps coming up when i search through for parts. Maybe it's worth a call?

As the line in Top Gun goes: the list is long....but distinguished. Actually I am looking for pretty much all of it. I know that my front roller assembly (#381) is toast. The bracket may be bent; I'm not sure. Regardless, the bearing is shot (both the outer race and the bearing itself, as the seal is gone), and I don't have the "spacer" shown in another manual diagram. That bearing has the integral threaded stud on it, with the screwdriver slot on one side and the flat sides on the other. It is not a simple "switch out". Both of the bearings in the #398 Lower Roller Assembly are shot, and those are not just bolted in either. I'm still also looking to swap out my extended arm hinge assembly with a stock length one. I can order the grooved nylon wheel that will replace the guide bushing, so at least THAT is a good find.
