Hello, my name is Randy I have a 91 Chevy G20 Trail Wagons Conversion. The 5.7 ltr was siezed after sitting for 10 years. The original owner was a very nice older lady that gave me the van. I paid my nephew $60 to trailer it 100 miles from Washington state. I spent a few days getting engine freed up. I removed starter, serpentine belt, and doghouse. I pulled all spark plugs, filled cylinders with motor oil, put plugs back in fonger tight to keep dirt out then let sit for a week. I removed plugs again, tried breakerbar on front pully with no luck. I used large flat tip screwdriver on flywheel about 2 teeth then back. It took a few days but finally got to spin a complete revolution. I replaced starter, disconected fuel lines and coil wire then spun a few times with starter.
The gas cap had broken several years before and entire fuel tank, and filler neck were completely rusted. I replaced tank, pump, sending unit, filler neck and blew lines out from throttle body side after removing filter. I put in new filter, fresh gas and it fired right up. The van is all original with 54k miles on it. Interior is near new condition, exterior very straight but some paint flaking and light surface rust above windshield and on roof. Stock rallye wheels, with rotted tires. I am proceeding very cautiously at this point, thermostat is a little sticky sometimes open sometimes closed. The engine runs very well, no strange sounds and no smoke. I drove it down the road about a mile round trip yesterday
The trans shifts well and it drives like a van with 54,000 miles on it. I am super stoked, and look forward to learning from the experts on this forum that seems to pop up everytime I google something about it.

Welcome! Good save! "Barn finds" are getting harder to find. We bought our '95 six years ago and it still had the original tires on it! (Uniroyals)

BTW ... Trail Wagons converted Chevy Suburbans also: http://www.1990suburban.com/conversion_packages/trail_wagons/index.cfm#

Thank you all for the warm reception.
This looks like a great community. I do a lot of
Wildlife photography I think this van is going to
be a huge asset for my adventures. I have a Suzuki Swift
I have been using up till now and space with all my gear
is very limited. I might eventually look at a tow bar setup to
drag it along.

Thank you Mickey, I will try to get some pics up when I get some time. I need to find another hosting site, I had used photobucket for years but I deleted my account after their new ad policy started.
