I have a 1978 Streetvan. I have been trying to find window-less, cargo doors for side and back. I have found a 1992 Ram Van for parts.
Are the doors interchangeable?
Unfortunately the vans are 400 miles apart so I can’t do a side by side comparison.
I’m hoping that someone here will know for sure.
Thanks.

Yes they will interchange. The differences are minor. The exterior handle should be the black plastic one on the 92, it's also a little longer so it has 1 different mounting hole. You can put the original style on but you have to redo a hole. The latch style is different, (easier to put newer door on an old body). The older basically puts a peg into a hole but the newer clamps onto a hook. It may be possible to swap over all those parts. I think the door to door latch is slightly different also. Get the pair if you can. That's what I've always done.

Try to look at the bottom rear corner of the rear-most side cargo door to be sure of its shape. At one point in time there was a changeover between a sloped shape right in front of the wheel arch to a 90 degree shape.

I'm not an expert on doors, perhaps Nate or Reed are? You may be OK on the rear doors as a set. The metal is likely thinner on the modern van doors. The door frame electrical contact button(s) for the license plate & electrical door locks, if so equipped, may be different.

Part of the issue is 1978 was the magic year when the big body style changeover took place. Depending on when during the year your van was made, it may share more with the 77 and earlier vans, or the 79 and later vans.
