I have been having a miss and general rough running on my 91 shorty with 4.3 when it gets warm. I found there is a hose on the rear of the intake that leads to the heater valve. This hose has a pin hole that is spraying the coil when the engine gets warm. OK no big deal I will replace it. As I traced it I found this hose has a bend that drops it below one of the A/C hoses. Anyone know the purpose of the bend? It looks like it is a factory bend in the hose. There is enough room to run this hose straight to its destination. What am I missing? Thanks!
