I picked up 1970 Chevy G-10 Shorty early this year.I was looking for interior ideas. Any websites that i can go to ? I have been looking but it seems that 1970 are hard to find .( I've seen a lot of 60s and mid 70s ) Trying to get ideas for the exterior as well.

Thank You Jimmy Hey Jimmy! I am in the same boat you are when it comes to interiors. What I did was bought up a a bunch of era car magazines. Anything from around 1972-1980 that had a van or street machine on the cover. Usually at a swap meet I could get them for $1-$4 each. A lot of them have really good ideas on building an interior on a budget or even showing the fundamentals to interior building. I don't have a Facebook anymore, but my cousin does. He joined a bunch of van groups and from time to time he will post pics of my work, but he will also save pictures for me of vintage interiors. After awhile, I started to visualize how things were built. But I would start there, join the groups, and try to scoop up some magazines.

You can do a lot with the interiors, just about anything your mind can come up with. The big thing is to not drill screws threw anything you don't actually want to, like gas tank, wires, side walls and the roof.

I.e. Haul bikes, camp, just be a day tripper. Those kinds of decisions help you narrow in on options that work for you. The basis of the builds are generally the same, its just personal taste layered on top of that. Like many here, we go to truck ins or camp and what not, so having the ability to sleep on a nice bed is great. But some people wanna just chill and use their van for shows during the day and be a cruiser. There is no wrong answer! (okay maybe if you try and copy the mystery machine, but that's my personal gripe)
But if you have ideas and want to know how to do it, post those questions here. We all collectively have some sort of relevant experience to so many topics
