Sunroof

I tried buying this on OfferUp. The guy started the sale, then marked it sold before putting it on eBay for $100 more. I’m getting tired of dealing with van parts sellers on Facebook and apps. I might just stick to the yards and swaps instead.

I had a 74 Dodge with a sunroof in it. No matter how I tried to seal it, still leaked. Many rainy mornings driving to work, I had a blanket on my right shoulder to keep the water from dripping on me. I imagine with today's technology, there are a lot better sealants available.

Good to know. I have a lead on another Ford that I might be able to turn into a boogie van in just a weekend with left over parts. I figured a sunroof would be a nice touch if I pick it up.

Thank you for all of your input!

Yeah. It didn’t sell so he relisted it about $50 cheaper.

Sunroofs are cool but I have never known anyone with one that hasn't had a leak. Seems like we seal my son's about once a year. His van does sit in the Florida sun all day everyday so that's no help on the rubber seal. I personally don't recommend one if you don't have a covered spot to park your van.
