Thank you! Just went a couple blocks up the road and found this '76 Motorhome, 67K miles, lots of really nice front interior parts & front sheet metal. Solid front bumper & nice Chrome (just dirty), they must have pushed on something "soft" as the bumper is pushed in ever so slightly around the license plate. Can have the hole vehicle for free, no paper work, been sitting for 35 years. Might grab it and see if I can use a press to pull out the pushed in bumper area. Shame about the grill!
All good points above! Here's a rear Winnebago chrome bumper that was about 8' wide when I started to build it for a '34 Ford p/u. I cut it down in the middle to length you see, rounded the ends and curved them inward and boxed the back side of the ends. Welded up bolt holes that weren't needed, weld, grind, fill and do all over again till chromed plater was happy. The platers in my area are getting harder to find but will do a triple plating job or a cheap job depending on what you want. I don't think you are out of line wanting more for your bumper I just don't know how much more you want!
