Hopefully you will hear back about the van. Those Mid Fords are really getting hard to find

I finally installed the pedestals and the Dodge seats I pulled back in November. I like these seats because they're large, comfortable, and have armrests on the interior side of the seat. Time for some black diamonds.

My air shocks seem to be holding up pretty well.

I ran her up and around the block today for some gas. I had a loose tie rod and the steering box needed some adjustment, so I had made some adjustments. She's no longer all over the road. Every mid owner knows that the pain for parts these can be, I recently found some NOS parts for it so when they do crap out, I am covered. *Whew*

The last few weeks I have spent collecting insulation, reading, and preparing for the interior work.

I have about 90% of the interior insulation finished. Last week I used some spray foam to seal after having a lapse in judgement. I spent today cleaning it out and redoing the sheet of foam. There’s some trimming and fine tuning left to do on the current sheets but I should be able to do it when I finish the ceiling next weekend.

It was fun to spread out for a moment and listen to some music.

I picked up some composite plywood today but it cracked on the way home. Learned my lesson on trying to shortcut.

I think I’m going to keep those 6”x9” KC lights. There were two holes already drilled on top and they slip right in.

I started looking back to November to see how far I have come in just 10 months. I have about 45 days of work into the van right now. I have more time ahead of me yet.

Thank you, Astro! She’s really coming along now that I’m in the home stretch of sorts.

I ordered the wood for the sub flooring today and went to pick it up. She has a chirping while driving and she isn’t shifting too well. I have a new filter and modulator for the transmission the next time I can get it on the lift. I hope the chirping is something rubbing but I’ll have to drive it without the dog house to see.

I’m going to ditch these cheesy universals mirrors. They get kind of flimsy at normal speed down a city street. I hand some Ford west coast mirrors fall into my lap that will accept my older box mirrors.

Filled her up with some 1/2” plywood and went back to start laying the floor out.

I have it pretty much how I want it, I’ll need some longer screws to secure it and I have mapped out the important stuff underneath. Paint has been ordered and I’ll be picking it up tomorrow. I found a nice single stage maroon with metallic flakes in it. It’ll have a black metallic strip following the flares and lower body line. Understated but going for a period look, nothing too wild. I also found a shop that will chrome the rear bumper for $400 so I’m going to pull that and arrange for a drop off with them.

I’m trying to secure a vintage sunroof just in case I go that route for the front but we’ll see what happens.
