Has anyone ever pulled an engine out the side door on a Mid Dodge. I know it can be done but tips, advice, etc

I have seen that referenced in factory service manuals but I just never could get my head wrapped around how that's a better alternative to going out the front or even the bottom. I suppose if there is A LOT of extra equipment on the front maybe that's a better way but it still looks like a lot more work (you'd have to pull the trans first just so you could move the engine back to clear the bottom of the dash/firewall).
