Looking for some help. Very new here. I’m trying to do a similar swap. 1986 G30. Had on old 350 and installing a 5.3 ls. I can’t get the dirty dingo brackets to line up with the motor mounts. Seems like the mounts are too far apart. The brackets are about 1 inch too narrow on both sides. Any help is greatly appreciated.
That's odd. The tabs on the brackets aren't wide enough to connect to the stock motor mounts? I'd contact Dirty Dingo in that case.
Mine fit perfectly, I just ended up mounting the Dirty Dingo brackets to the motor mounts and the towers, then just mounted the towers to the cross member. Made life pretty easy.

I have a 1986 GMC Vandura 2500. Stock 305 has been pulled out already. I can buy a modelyear 1994 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Wagon with 5.7ltr LT1 engine and 4L60E transmission. Car is build december 1993.
Car is in good condition.
I would like your opinions of a possible swap for engine including transmission into the GMC Thanks in advance!
