Maybe they're full of sh*t. lol

Finally got a response from Hellwig Tech Support and all it says is, "Sorry I cant make that call on this one we don’t know if it will fit".

Wow...super helpful. Thanks, Hellwig.

It's weird, 73-87 Chevy C-10s are all the same, I wonder why it wouldn't be the same situation for G10.

Is Rolling Death Van Club still active? They're in Portland and some of them have Chevy's you could compare. Just a thought.

Right? I'm going to talk to the dudes down at Old Car Parts about it this week. I'm sure they'll know what's up.

I think the location of the steering box on pre-1983 vans may be the issue. In the pics Nate posted, his seems to be placed further back than mine. Mine sits much more forward and is directly behind the front bumper and is at a 45º (ish) angle.

Still very active and you’re right, there are a few Chevys in the club. I think a 74, mid 80s and a 93 or 94.

@scojira have you been keeping your eyes out for junk yard vans? Most of them are always g20s and probably have a sway bar. There was an 81 in Vancouver a few weeks ago I think.

I have a '79 G30 camper van and it has a stock sway bar on it . Its 1 1/16 " thick. Maybe you could find one at a yard and make it work.

Looking at Shaggy's pics, I can really see the differences in the front end. The steering box on my 93 sits much further back on the frame and the sway bar is mounted differently as well.
