Mr. Edward Harold Benton, age 71, of Easley, SC (beloved father, grandfather, and brother), went to his final reward on Saturday, June 27, 2020.

Ed served in the United States Air Force and spent his career there as an aircraft mechanic. Ed was an avid mechanic who loved to fix anything that had an engine or battery. He spent a lot of time after the Air Force customizing vans. He was a long time member of the Burlington Family Van Club. He was a self-taught welder and auto body man. As his son in law, he introduced me to vanning and helped me numerous times with my Chevy conversion van although he was clearly a Ford man when it came to vanning. Although his van “Cloudy” had been sidelined for years due to health reasons and other demands on his time (including the addition of a newer Econoline conversion van “Sunny”), both remained in his fleet until the end.
