I have a 2008 Grand Caravan w/the 3.8L V6 & 121,000 miles. For the past few years I've been dealing with an occasional misfire in cylinder 1. It only happens at start up and not all the time. My fix has been to throw a can of Seafoam in the fuel tank and that clears it up for a long time. But recently the issue has come back and the Seafoam isn't helping. About 3 years ago I replaced the plugs, wires, and coil pack because of the issue. More than one shop told me that Mopars only like the OE Champion spark plugs and OE wires (which I think is BS). So this past weekend that's what I did. Still have a sputter at start-up but hasn't thrown the light on just yet.

Next project is to replace the fuel injector for cylinder 1. I found a brand new Mopar injector on Ebay and ordered the upper intake plenum gaskets from Rock Auto. I know a faulty injector can cause a stumble and throw a misfire code.

Report at 11.

Nate, my 99 Tahoe had the same issue, reading a misfire code on cylinder 4 and a sputter at times. Chevy garage replaced the fuel injector, problem solved. Some garages were telling me it could possibly also be an O2 sensor.

Cool, that makes me feel better about replacing the injector. Thanks.

Light came on yesterday...sumbitch. Hopefully the new injector clears up the issue. I almost want to replace all of them while I have it apart, but don't have the $$$ at the moment. It's not a bad job really.
