*not sure if this should go in current or past events, as it was last weekend. please move if it should be in the past events forum*

I have not seen any posts yet about Mountain Mayhem last weekend in Erwin, TN, so let me share my pics.

Here is a flickr album with a few of the pics I took. I am not a photographer, and we took a few of the kids, so I was chasing them around a bit and doing family stuff with them.

We had a great time. I think there were about 90 vans that showed up in the end. I saw plates on Vans from FL, GA, TN, SC, NC, VA, PA, NY, OH and MA. I am sure there may have been some other states represented as well. The event was hosted by HomeGrown Customs. We saw some familiar faces, as well as met plenty of new ones. The location was pretty amazing; it was right on the Nolichucky River and the temps were hot, but not unbearable. Campsites had plenty of shade, and there was a pretty nice place to jump in the river to cool off, as well as a rope swing to jump in with. If they have the eVANt again, I will be going!

haha, my picture skills were pretty bad. Most pics were taken on the move with a 1 year old trying to slap the phone. haha.

I loved the venue, and my wife liked it enough that she mentioned going back on a regular trip sometime.

Great pics, thanks for posting. The brown Chevy setting under the old railroad trestle is a beautiful pic. On the white Chevy van with all the equipment on the roof, what is the red plastic mounted on the drivers side rear.

The White van (As well as the big white//orange/brown/yellow 4X4 Van) belonged to a Florida Fireman. It appeared to be some type of liquid holding tank. Not sure if it was made for water or for fuel or what.

Yep yep yep, I had 3 campsites reserved ,paid in full and reserved on day one, we trucked in 5.5 hours and told we had no campsite. Put on the side of the driveway..3 vans..what a disappointing deal...$300 for primitive is steep.

When in doubt..get the sawzall out..

Astrocreep, through the whispers in the trees I heard tale that the guy that was managing the campground did some shady stuff with the money and sites or something. I heard right after the event, management changed. I could have heard rumors though.

I know when I called and reserved my spot, he didn't make me pay and said he would 'call me and secure payment'. I never heard from him. there was definitely an empty site on each side of me available to slide a van into, (I was in the back of the loop where there were some permanent resident homes/cabins). I know we were not charged the $80/night either and I know we were told that overflow would go to the USA raft campground that was right there as well. what vans were you in?
