Looking for a complete, all original Ford? I have this wonderful van that I drive almost every day. 3 on the tree and a 302, even has working air conditioning. Working that is when I put in freon which then promptly leaks out in a day or two of operation. Speaking of leaks, so does the heater core, but hey who needs a heater anyhow. In a future post I'll put up a couple pics of the interior but for now I'll let you know that it has orange shag carpet on the floor and the stock rigid headliner. Two bucket seats up front and thats it.

Here's my dilemma, I don't know how much to sell this thing for, so I'm asking for your help if you have seen anything close to this age and condition sell in the last couple years, let me know.

Hi Julius, from what I have seen lately, there are a lot of E-200 vans in similar shape as yours for sale in the 7k-9k range. The only issue with this is they have all been for sale for a long time. The shorter E-100s are the vans that most people want so there is a bigger demand for them, but usually in the 4k-7k range. I personally paid 2k for mine, with a paint job that was decent but far from perfect and it technically didn't run. At last count, I was well into it for another 6k to get it into the current shape it is in and still have a ways to go.

There are fans of the E-200, especially with windows, but I don't imagine this van would sell for more than 4k without the leaks on a very good day. That is just my opinion from watching Craigslist, facebook marketplace, and listhopper for the last year and a half to gauge the market. You have an AC in it which is something all the mid Ford owners love, but wouldn't really add value to a larger E-200 window van. Maybe start at 5k because you can always go down but you can't go up in price.

Best of luck!

The display vans are kinda neat. But shorty panels are the easy sellers. I do think the e200 suspension is superior, the 100s seem pretty light duty for a car let alone a van with built out interior. I’d go with Charlie 4-5k, after you spend an afternoon to replace the heater core, or at least eliminate it, then wait around for whoever it is that buys long boxes.

Thanks Charlie,
I very much appreciate your insight, and frankly the news that there are "lots" of these out there, I haven't been looking long so that is helpful to know. You are very right, much easier to go down, people seem to get all testy when you try to raise the price!

Thanks samhain,
Is the heater core really that easy on this model? I might give that a go after all. I see you're from Lucerne Valley, don't you folks have a van club out of Victorville or there abouts? A bunch of vans stopped outside my office here in Inyokern last summer and I thought they said they were from out your way.
