Hey guys! So I’ve been tearing apart my cockpit, I’ve removed the passenger seat base and painted it, now moving on to the drivers side then clean up and lay down new carpet. But this black box thing has me flummoxed. I’m not sure if I just carpet over the wires, reinstall box as it was, and I’m leaning to that, but the wires go through the seat base so I’d need to disconnect a couple of wires but I’ve no idea what that would do..any advice?

Pics, info on what kind of van, year, etc will help others help you determine what your needs are.

Ive tucked mine into the wall panel just behind the drivers seat and ran the cable over the top and notched the carpet. It only runs about 6" out. But that was it wasn't affixed to the swivel seat bases I put in and tore apart when I spun around
