I was able to put a lot of time in recently. I finished the next phase of the bar. I added a small upper ledge, and finished the "cubby" area right behind the bar. I also finished a similar cubby area on the right side quarter panel just to the rear of the barn doors. The cubbies are deeper than the rest of the wall panels will be and almost touch the exterior sheet metal wall. I wanted a more out-of-the-way place for the cupholders and whatnot. Space is a premium so I'm trying to use every inch.
We also went out to a large local cruise night on Saturday and had a great time. I'm waiting for some pictures to surface of that, but I'm sure there will be some.
In the cubby on the right side, there are 2 LED cupholders in a VIP car style raised table mount, and underneath that there is a pair of chargers, one dual USB, and one standard lighter plug. This whole piece can be removed with 3 allen screws to access the deep cycle battery underneath.
Back to the driver's side, there is a similar cubby just behind the bar that holds 1 LED cupholder and a stainless insulated wine bottle chiller, as well as another pair of charging outlets.
On the back wall of the bar, there are going to be some champaign glasses on hangers that I can lock into place while driving (working on 3d printing the mounts), and on each side of the bar, there is a raised VIP car style table with more LED cupholders. I have a plan for the center of that back wall panel, but it will be left bare for now.
Here is the finished unit as it sits for now:
We also printed a holder for the stereo and fiber optic ceiling remotes. This replaces the factory ashtray.
I'm going to take a break for a little while as I have several other projects that I've been neglecting. More to come later!
