Hi everyone, I just purchased a 1971 Ford Club Wagon Chateau from Craigslist. The van is in good shape but will be doing some mechanical work (currently not running - the motor turns over but won't start). The interior also needs some revamping and eventually I would like to convert it to a simple camper van. I am looking to connect with people who own similar models and could direct me to any good resources you have found for purchasing parts or lessons learned from your own renovations.

Hi! I'm currently working on a '69 short van. I have been going through it like mad, feel free to DM me any questions. Get the Ford factory manual. It is amazing.

Awesome! Thanks a lot. I did get the manual and is definitely very helpful. Any ideas where I could locate a factory ladder (goes on the back). I am thinking pick and pull is my only shot.

Honestly not sure what the factory ladder on the 2nd gen was like. I found a 3rd gen that is aluminum. I was thinking the 2nd gen may have been chrome?
