Does anyone know how to get disc brakes on the rear of my 92 B250 shorty?? Is there a kit? Ram Truck differential fit? Surely someone has done it by now...

I have not seen it on a van. But there are conversion kits for the Mopar 8.25 and 9.25 rear axle for trucks and for old A and B-body cars. I sent a message about one on Summit a while back LINK!!! and was politely told no it would not work on a van. But I really don't believe that. In my mind everything would work except the e-brake cable, which would be made for the car or truck.

Also for the 8.25 axle if you google you can find parts lists to get factory parts off some of the later model Jeeps that are becoming more common in the junkyards. There are a lot of off road guys who do it.

This is also on my long list of van upgrades I'd like to do. Just have had to prioritize other things.

1991 Dodge B250 Zephyr Conversion. "Bi-frost" 89,000-ish original miles and counting.
- 318TBI; has headwork and other bolt on upgrades. Runs strong and smooth!
- Powertrax locker
- 3" aluminum radiator.
- Rear air springs, rebuilt suspension, steering stabilizer.

I am looking at doing it as well, the 2003 model B1500 had a rear disk brake option. I found one here in Texas.

Well it's been awhile. I would really like to try the disk brake conversion on my 77 B200. Somebody must have tried. Anyone?

I've been looking, but not finding too much joy.

The '03 axle is a different part. Rumour has it that the flange moved, and the corresponding caliper doesn't have an integral bracket, so there's something missing. A complete '03 axle would probably be required to go this route.

Most of the other conversion kits for the 8.25 axle have Jeep rotors; wrong centre bore (77.6), wrong bolt pattern (5x4.5). This includes the Wilwood kit and the budget ZJ Grand Cherokee swap.
