Oh yeah, really coming together now. I'm loving the smaller diamond stitch with the interior. Are you trying to keep the interior the same and just fix it piece at a time, or are you totally changing it to something different one section at a time? Flares and all look great too.

Thank you!

I love the brown diamond stitch, I have always liked brown as opposed to black. Both are classic. The pics make the interior look good, but it is actually starting to disintegrate inside. I am going to slowly replace each piece as budget allows me to. I will have to remove the top rear ceiling when I install the wing, so I might as well start there and create a pattern for it. Plus, I have cancer in several spots that will require welding, might as well clear out anything flammable.

I found some pre-sewn diamond with the foam backing through a local supplier that I will use. So far the quality is good and the price is decent. It will help my budget the more work I can do on my own.

I have looked at the fender since Saturday and I know there is some filler on it. I just don't know how much. I think it is going to throw the flares and lower spoiler off if I try to install it in one piece, I don't want to risk breaking any parts. I think what I will have to do is get them as close as I can, then fill the rest with fiberglass. It might be my only option at this point.

Yeah, my passenger side is totally out farther that the driver side. I'm gonna have to pound it in a bit. I wasted a bunch of time on Saturday dealing with the resistor wire while converting over to the HEI. I previously had it on a jumper wire to the battery, now I'm just going to draw it from a hot 12v behind the ignition. I found a lot of broken live wires so I taped those bad boys up.

I put the hood on yesterday because I removed the old brake lines that stuck out so far they threw the alignment of the hood off. She's back on nice and straight. That hood is screaming for a scoop.

Well, she's starting to look like a van again.

I've been eyeballing the hell out of that roof vent on the van. I'm not a big fan of it as it sticks up kinda high. I liked the Venturi Vent a bit more but with them having the leaking issues and being worth their weight in gold, I had an idea.

Because I will have to take the interior ceiling panel out anyway to install the wing, why not just install a new pop up sunroof? It couldn't be any longer than 15" due to the location of the wing and 30" wide would be more than enough. There's one new online in those dimensions for less than $270 that I would be willing to roll the dice on.

I have done a lot of research in the forums about installing one and I'm sure I could do it because there's already a hole cut, all I need is the wood bracing underneath and a good jigsaw. Why not?

Get your sunroof from CR Laurence if you do.
