Looking for some wood lights in this vein. I’m in need of a pair, condition doesn’t have to be perfect.

I have some cool lights to offer as trade if anyone is interested. They are about 10” globes and in great shape. (You can buy them if you just want the lights too) would work great for a wet bar or something cool.

Thank you!

I've been wanting to make a set of wood lights with the colored plexiglass similar to those for a while now. I've just had way too many projects going on in the shop to try to tackle them. Hopefully I'll be able to get around to them fairly soon. I'm loving those Coors lights, wish I had something cool to trade for them or cash on hand to buy them off of you.

I too have considered making them also but figured maybe someone had a set in a box on a shelf in a garage, what have you.

I’d be curious to know how you would go about it though, as I am not a wood worker, but am learning and just recently acquired some tools that would make it easier to make, I think.

When I get around to making some, I'll make sure to make a full writeup on the process.

I forget where I saved these images from but someone I follow on Instagram makes and sells these lights:

Doesn't seem like it would be too difficult with proper tools some basic woodworking skills. I could probably bang a couple of them out in an afternoon.

Not a huge fan of either of the execution on those, the top one is kinda clunky but it’s good to see a few details close up.

I made a little test piece to determine scale and shape on the wall while I have it apart for wiring.

Definitely seems doable to make one

The lights in the first picture are the same ones I have in my van. Years ago on the forums, there was a topic of a guy who was going to reproduce these. I remember sending him all the measurements of my lights. He had also found a source for the tinted red and green plastic. I have 2 of the lights on the rear walls and 1 overhead between the front seats. The 1 in the front is a flatter octagon type. Mine have red lenses, and the interior of the van is red shag carpet, when you turn the lights on after dark, my wife always says, it "glows like a whore house on wheels".

While looking for old RV/camper/motorhome or van lights, I came across this site of used RV items like lights, cabinets, etc. Lots of decent quality items that have use in custom to conversion vans.
