That makes sense. This is giving me some good ideas on how to go about tackling my interior for the Ford. I was just going to build a simple bedframe with a sub or something underneath it (maybe) and a storage space for the spare and tools. I've been trying to get some discount carpet stores on the horn to find out about shag carpet prices. Most are pricey but it is what it is.

So another build question, it looks like your partitions are anchored to the sides and the floor but not the roof. Is that correct, and do you feel like it's pretty sturdy? I'm planning on toting my two active kids and (more) active dogs, just wondering if that would hold up. Looks great, and I'm excited to see it as it progresses.

Upholstery looks amazing. Can't wait to see what it looks like all done and installed.

I need to add a few more braces from the top of the partition to the ceiling. I may just do a few more Simpson ties on each side and call it done. It is very strong and I added a bunch more interior bracing but it’s heavy so it moves more than I want it to. I can cover it all with finishes anyways so it should be good

Working on fitting these interior pieces that I got back. Had to make some adjustments and mods to the clip system and also added some velcro to make them stay in place but it really is cool looking! I will trim the opening with the carpet wrapped board (the one sitting there is a test piece) and the wood paneling will be the upper half. I need to prep the walls for power/lighting before I close them up with full finishes and trim.
