Thank you everyone, I am loving this van the more I get under the hood on her. After playing around with the aftermarket radiator, I just wasn't happy with it. I took the stock one to a shop for a recore. It's a bit pricey, but it is the OEM part and as of now, she isn't a hot rod. I should have that back by the end of this week in time to take it down on Saturday. I have the Edelbrock 289 Performer intake on my Mustang and I really like the performance for a little V8. I am working on removing a lot of the old vacuum lines and filters from the late 60's that serve no purpose anymore. With any luck, she should be somewhat roadworthy by New Years. I just hate storing it almost 2 hours away because that means I can only work on her once a week.

I finally buttoned up the front today. New water pump, alternator, and belt. I’m waiting on my Edelbrock intake and carb before I take the top apart. I also just received my HEI distributor with plugs.
The plugs and wires should be here today. I’ve also started going through some of the crap wiring, it was easy because most of it isn’t even crimped. It’s just all twisted wires around live connections.
I fully hope to have the van running and tuned by the first of the year so I can start assembling the front end again before moving onto suspension.
I’m also annoyed with the Patriot pipes I purchased. I’ve been trying to install them and I’ve stripped two slag screws and have had four holes so far be too large despite drilling the guide holes smaller as required. I’m just going to get a muffler shop to weld some brackets at this point and be done with it.

Well, Christmas came early this year. Scored four mags for the van that need a small amount of work, but they’re not bent and there’s no curb rash. Some light sanding and mag polish will really bring them out. The two tires are trash and will get replaced with some white letter tires.

Have you done a test fit? That doesn’t look like a typical 5.5” dia. bolt pattern

Yeah, I measured them twice. They come out as the 5x5.5 measurements when I measure lug to lug and across.

The center bore size is most concerning and makes me believe someone misled you.

This is my 5x5.5 slot mag and you can see the center is much larger than yours. They generally never made variants of this, I know I didn’t have an option on mine.

Your current blade wheels match the larger center hub too.

Just for peace of mind I would take a wheel off and throw it on to see if it fits over your hubs and then check if it’s the correct bolt pattern.

My van came new with about a 3.5 4' hole in the middle. When I bought new wheels the hole barely fits over the spindle. Either one works. 90 Chev.

I was concerned also as all the newer wheels I was looking at have the same large center bore. At worst, I will have to have a machine shop bore the hole bigger or run a spacer with larger studs. At best, the rims fit. They are 5x5.5 as I have taken a tape measure to the holes and they come out with all the correct measurements. I won't truly know until I remove the wheels but that will be on Saturday.

One thing to also think about is several other vehicles, including newer Tacomas, run a 5x5.5 but they for sure have a larger center bore than a Ford.

At the moment, I have been eyeballing F100 drums with the large pattern and they also show the smaller bore. Once again, I won't really know until I pull the wheels on Saturday.
