Hey everybody, new to the forums here. I live in south eastern Ohio, and I am currently looking for a boogie van that I can work on and pretty much make my own this winter and into my senior year. I have an extremely strong running Pontiac fire bird which I daily drove when it was warmer out. The Pontiac has a 400 big block performance engine swapped in along with new breaks, suspension all around, etc. I probably have around 5k invested in the car. I have lots of photos of the car, just let me know if you are interested. I am looking for a 70s-early 80s preferably panel van that runs and drives.

If that was a 63-65 Riviera and you wanted to trade for my 79, I’d do it all day long, but that’s a pipe dream and I don’t need a Firebird.

I’d bet there’s more car people here than you may realize. I’ve had a 47 Buick, 65 T bird but vans are just more useful and fit more of the things I prefer like camping and long road trips. Plus it’s the people that keep me in vanning. That being said cars are my first love and will always be an obsession of mine and definitely still want that Riviera one day

Good luck with the car. You may not get someone to trade or it may not be a boogie van, just keep your options open as you can take something plain Jane and make it your own and not have to spend money on someone else’s work.

Always had a hot rod or two, but 100% van and built one to be a hot rod..welcome aboard. Open your mind to vans 60's -80's. All vans have something to offer. Like DeathorVictory said plain Jane's make great starts and give you the most bang for your buck, there is nothing worse than getting a neglected shaggin' wagon you have to start from square one anyway.

When in doubt..get the sawzall out..
