Greetings, haven`t been here for a while, what with computer crashing (due to a glass of red wine spill) and the NBN system issues that hit the nation. Anyhow, theres a big swap meet here in Queensland first weekend in Jan so I decided I`m gonna make it there, so charged the battery and introduced the van to a few gallons of soap suds before running it in to the big shed ready to commence work. I`m looking at fitting the new carpets, refurbished seats, bit of electrical work etc. Two things I`d appreciate some input on: 1. I want to remove the radiator fan and fit either a single or double thermo fan. Has anyone done this? My van is a `79 Chevy Shorty, 350 / auto / a-c. 2. The doghouse insulation ( silver foil material) needs replacing, can these be bought new or is it something you might have to buy a roll off and fit to suit.. Thanks Guys, cheers. PS. can anyone ID this carb?

I bought some alum ac foil tape and covered all the insulation with that , worked pretty good , keeps all that loose insulation from blowing around under the doghouse and reflects the heat from cab .
