Those appear to be the only Bilstein's in production for the G series. Has anyone used these?

Nice Bilstein search chart, but it's vague. So, these are my 1990 G30 part numbers from my B6 Series Bilstiens. I like them, have them on both one ton vans. I run KYB's on my B250, and wish I'd spent the coin on Bilstiens for that too, but low budget Beater. My 1990 G30 BBC Beauville 9100lb GVWR single wheel passenger van takes the rear shock for the dual wheel axle, the single wheel shock is 2 inches too short, for my application, so I had to reorder these. Summit Racing. No problem. Van On!

I can't find any performance figures for these, so a bit hesitant to purchase. My stock shocks are not in bad shape, I just want less nose dive and body roll, and the shocks I put on my last G30 firmed things up really nicely... but that was years ago and I'm unsure of the brand and model. | | | Re: Suggestion For Good Shocks | Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 249 Likes: 59 G Van Man | G Van Man Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 249 Likes: 59 | My 1983 G20 van has Bilstein B6s. I put KYB monomax on my Express van. I liked the Monomax shocks much better so I tried them on the 2nd g-van. The 87 G20 has Monomax as well. The 83 rides a little smoother than the 87 but the 87 feels more stable at high speeds. Part of the difference maybe the 8.1 hanging over the front end of the 83 vs the 6.0L in the 87. The Monomax have 2" pistons which really seem to do a better job controlling these heavy beasts.

I am considering a solid axle 4x4 swap on the 83 with the 8.1 in the future. Will likely get some form of dual shock setup then.
