What year is your van?
Curious... When you all put your van in a stance like this do you also consider the angle of the driveshaft and its impact on the ujoints? | | | Re: Dads Van...a few changes | Joined: Sep 2016 Posts: 145 Likes: 8 member | OP member Joined: Sep 2016 Posts: 145 Likes: 8 | van is an 87....i never even thought about the impact on the u-joints...shes only a slant 6 with 1 bbl so no burnouts or jackrabbit starts....just cruisin | | | Re: Dads Van...a few changes | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 1,080 Likes: 1 old hand | old hand Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 1,080 Likes: 1 | DadsVan... We only cruise and rarely above 55 but are still evaluating height changes that occurred when we changed springs and shocks. Were blowing through u joints every 12,000 miles. Now back to oem specs and will see how it goes. Prior to our first changes she was still running original 28 year old u joints no problem. Several folks mentioned the angle of the drive shaft and how there is a very small tolerance or something of that nature. Anyway.. your van looks amazing! Ours is an 88 front and tail lights are very similiar that's why I was curious. Our front grill got busted out in a hail storm and required some mods but it's still going strong otherwise. | | | Re: Dads Van...a few changes | Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 1,266 Likes: 43 old hand | old hand Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 1,266 Likes: 43 | Niko - can you shim your rear end to adjust the angle? Generally is practiced by 4x4 folks when they lift their rigs. Many times lift blocks are standard use for rear end lift

We live in the van full time so the less we have to mess with leveling things up at night the better. | | | Re: Dads Van...a few changes | Joined: Nov 2019 Posts: 23 stranger | stranger Joined: Nov 2019 Posts: 23 | That's a killer Dodge! We need to get together again for a show and tell. I got 2 inch blocks on the rear of Black Magic. No problem with the u joints so far.
