It'll smooth the ride out back. Did it to my '69 3/4 ton GMC truck. Leveled the ride and softer too. But what about the front?? Drop spindles?? Lowering springs?? From where?? Thanks. | | | Re: Help with lowering my G20. | Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 494 Likes: 21 addict | addict Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 494 Likes: 21 | | | | Re: Help with lowering my G20. | Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 139 Likes: 11 member | OP member Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 139 Likes: 11 | Thanks. That's a nice setup. Gonna have to check out those springs. | | | Re: Help with lowering my G20. | Joined: Oct 2019 Posts: 19 Likes: 1 stranger | stranger Joined: Oct 2019 Posts: 19 Likes: 1 | Do you have spacers in the rear?
How is the ride with those springs? | | | Re: Help with lowering my G20. | Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 494 Likes: 21 addict | addict Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 494 Likes: 21 | 10" rims, no spacers. Contrary to what everyone is always freaking out about when shorter springs are used instead of spindles, the ride and handling are better than before. | | | Re: Help with lowering my G20. | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 522 addict | addict Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 522 | Did you put shorter shocks on front? Do you ever clip the front tire on dips or bridge approaches? I've got 15x7 wheels 255x70 tires and it will hit the back of th well on a good dip. | | | Re: Help with lowering my G20. | Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 494 Likes: 21 addict | addict Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 494 Likes: 21 | Same KYB shocks as before. No problems with clipping. My front tires are 235/60 on 15x8" rims. | | | Re: Help with lowering my G20. | Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 1,266 Likes: 43 old hand | old hand Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 1,266 Likes: 43 | I’d guess those springs have a stiffer rate to keep it from bottoming out

Any good quality spring specifically designed for lowering will have a higher rate and will result in a better ride and more stability over cutting a coil from stock springs. | | |
