Nice Charlie

I had a bit of an idea when that E300 was in the junkyard near me last month. I pulled the old interior fiberglass panels out to use on my van, just cut them down a bit to fit into the short box interior. After about 15 minutes of cutting, this is all I am left with to use.



I will fill in the upper border gaps with 4"x1" boards wrapped in upholstery. I plan to do a test fit tomorrow, make my measurements and cuts, then but what I need in the next few weeks to wrap the parts. My ultimate goal is have the interior all ready to go so it can be installed in one day. I also want it to be easily removable as I plan to have the van rewired next year, provided it is completed this year...

I didn’t go down today, I was tied up with two Dodge vans in the junkyard. Good lord, she’s coming together. The scoop looks crooked cause the hood is up on the right side.

The interior panels from the Club Wagon really tie the interior together. They will need some minor trimming.



Just to fully appreciate that rake...

Looking sweet man. You'll always be driving downhill, so better gas mileage, right? 🙂

Lol, when I install the bed and interior, it’ll drop the rear down a bit. If not, I’ll use some lowering block. A subtle rake is what I’d like without bottoming out all over.
