i had 10.7mpg on my last trip I took. However, I had a miss and pulled the plugs after to find #8 was badly fouled. I don't know how much that would effect mileage.

My 77 shorty g10 250ci th350 I just went to Portland and back and with all the hills I got between 14-15mpg. The thing falls on its face just looking at a hill.

Last trip with the 5.3/4L60E/3.42 at 70mph was 18.6mpg with a few passes at 80mph or so. Pretty flat roads and no traffic.

Well done! I had a 2000 Chevy company truck with the same drivetrain. Loved every minute of it! Nice Swap!

My 1969 327 smallblock with a Rochester 2BBL/ Hedman Headers, Granny 4 speed 4.11 rear in a 1970 C10 Shorty, would provide 15 MPG. That was turning 12 by 15 inch Jackman wheels with a 12 inch Winston offroad tire.

Demonstrating the efficiency that even stock modern Multi Port fuel injection, Ignition systems and especially newer electronic OD transmissions provide over earlier non OD transmissions, TBI EFI, Carbs and earlier stock ignitions. Cheers!

Van ON!
