Clean little Shorty MH Raphael. Nice find! IMO would be hard to duplicate again in the wild.

Happy Vanning

P.S. Not a big fan of Tubular headers in a Motorhome. Pull any doghouse, in any van, drive around the block a few times, gets pretty warm eh?

I think the cherry red glow on headers I've seen after pulling a load is alarming to say the least. Never saw that underhood on my 327 C 10. IDK. It;s just me, but I'd run stock manifolds full plug heat shields into a dual crossover 2.5, or a single 3 inch exhaust., Lose the stock Cats. The dual exhaust from a diesel would bolt right up. More Pics and keep us posted Bro!

Thanks Wedgy!

Yeah I've done a little research, seen that folks have to run short plugs with kelvar heat shield socks on there. The shorty plugs idea worries me as coming from a world of performance turbo charged vehicles and swapping in colder plugs AKA ones with MORE material vs less, I know those shorter plugs are going to have less heat absorption capacity, combine that with more heat from the headers.... recipe for failure.

The Y pipe in there is definitely a big restriction, may go after that. The previous owner replaced everything after the cat with a big 3.5 or 4 inch pipe and nice GIANT resonator, so maybe complete that with a less restrictive Y pipe and high flow cat.

Yes it is classified as a motor home , but let's not rag on the new guy so hard. It's a nice looking motor home too. There will be van events and shows that he will not be able to attend. There will also be many that welcome RVs. He may possibly get a van one day unless we run him off with the the thought that we are closed minded fools. So I say live and let live.

Way Cool. OR. I agree with your exhaust assessment, you are already more than halfway there. The 3 BBC G30 exhaust setups I ride in are all into a single Large pipe/no or hi flow cat. The BBC have bigger diameter Y pipe, on the the right track there Raphael.

Even with the Big Blocks, I prefer the Large pipe single exhaust, compared to the true Duals I had on my 97 5.7 GMC 1500. No crossover big cat full length kinda too loud Passenger rear exits. Smallblocks do sound so good !

My 1990 G30 EXT is relatively quiet. Smooth and Torquey. I like it. My exhaust guy here was worried it was too quiet. "Get the Biggest Flowmaster you can find... " shocked Stock rear exit with a nice Escalade Oval tip.

Both of Frscke1's, are Roaring Monsters!

Have Fun! Van ON!

3" pipe all the way back ... one has a 40 Flowmaster and the other is a street Magaflow ... both have a uni cat ... more air thru more HP to the rear !
