It was good seeing y'all again Mike. Nice to meet your son. Sorry I didn't get to hang out much. I would have liked to looked at his Ford, the 3rd gens are my favorite. I'm basicly an ole Ford guy surrounded by Chevys.
It turns out I had/have a case of pneumonia. I'm gettin' treated now but I was feeling very poorly and really didn't get out much at all. Which was a shame because we had an excellent turn-out and a great bunch of folks, good weather and (I hear) the moonshine tasting was a big hit. The SEVC was able to bring people together in a great setting to laugh, talk, eat, listen to music, eat, enjoy some really beautiful vans, (did I mention eat?) and have a relaxing, friendly truck-in.
I did manage to get down to see Street Survivor. Steve had brought it down from Ohio. I know the love and sweat that went into it and it was so good to see that great little Dodge being enjoyed again. There were a lot of really terrific vans there from all over the country. BGV set up a little "town" next to our site. They're a great bunch, we still miss Ghost and Redneck but they would be proud.
Our friends from FVC were there, Homegrown was there, Vantasia, Midwest, Ohio, Virginia, Indiana and probably several I'm failing to list here. It was great!
We'll be there next year, hopefully well and better able.
PS Making plans to bring the GMC next year.
