So I'm currently weighing up options for my LPG installation. These vans appear to be a bit of a pain in that there seems to be bracing every 10 inches or so.

I want to know if I can reasonably cut this part out and not destroy the van :

If I was able to I'd be able to fit a decent sized tank up in that gap, but I obviously don't want to damage the integrity of the van.

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks

What brand of van is that? I am going to guess Chevrolet since that emergency/parking brake cable assembly does not look like the Ford or Dodge emergency/parking brake assemblies I have seen/worked on. Chevy vans are a true bdy-on-frame contrustion, but that little gusset it there for a reason. If you cut it out I recommend reataching it farther back or fabricating a different buttress for the floor.

Windows- they're what make a van worth owning!

Or cut it it out and weld in a C shaped section a bit like "C"ing a chassis.
