Not a 70s original. A 2000s custom. Well done, but to call it a 70s original is just wrong.

Windows- they're what make a van worth owning!

Never saw a single star wars movie so it could be battle star galatica and it would be cool to me and the tail lamps are too late model for the 70's. So it should be a tribute to the 70's..still a cool looking van.

The thing that bothers me is that those graphics look like Digital graphics. Digital printing did not come into vogue until 2000. The chewbacca is perforated window graphics film made by 3M starting in 2000 so this whole thing makes no sense to me as if it was done in the mid 2000's as a clone van (pardon my pun) and not from a vintage conversion. The inside floor is digitally printed too. That's my take on this.

You're correct.
I know the builder of this van. Haven't talked to him in a few years.
But I can tell you:
1) It was built about 5 or 6 years ago. (The build was posted here almost step by step.)
2) It's a nice van but that isn't paint, it's a vinyl wrap. (The builder is actually in the vehicle wrap/graphics business.)

The thing is, it’s a cool van. I used to see this online and fell in love with ram vans with the NorCal wing. But I just don’t understand the need to hide the fact it was done so recently. People are so hung up on nostalgia when you can build a cool van now and just embrace it. Sure the wheels are dated and the graphics are vinyl but just state the truth and also know that it’s probably a great van in nice condition and so what if it wasn’t built it in the 70s. I’m building a van right this very moment that’s inspired by the 70/80s but in no way am I trying to sell it as an original 80s built boogie van.

Yep you are correct Deathorvictory, the digital vinyl print has no soul to me. But it took alot of coin to do the van. Can't wait to see the interior on your van completed😃
