New here today with three ex-Bell Telephone E350 Econolines originally from Quebec each with 7KW generators, being converted into solo travel rigs with marine appliances and all the amenities one would need including Coleman Roughneck 15K BTU A/C unit on the top of each blows so cold I need a sweater in July. The HOA got p*ssed off so I had to move two of them to a storage unit. Appliances on the bench to be installed, each unit gets an Isotherm SS Fridge.Freezer, ISOtherm Clear Ice Maker, commercial Coffee grinder and Bunn commercial coffee brewer. 20 fresh water tank from a boat yard it can all fit since these are built for one person.

Thank you I sort of just jumped in here with my pictures hoping for some degree of acceptance, among owners of true classic vans. Thanks for giving me that! I am just a guy who likes vans, First I bought one van, then another then another , After all they were such great deals and all with low mileage < 40,000. What was i to do pass them up? Would like to attend a van meet later this year after I get the first one somewhat finished though I am not sure if folks would say, who called the phone man ?

Thank you all for the welcome! I will open a new thread in Readers Rides to show my progress since I am just at the beginning of customization, I spent the last year getting everything refurbished on them mechanically, new tires, everything. All-Pro Truck in Glendale put the A/C units on top and slapped on some new paint. Parts for these are so easy to find. It will be interesting to see if everything will fit in there , sort of like a submarine with enough room for a place to sleep. The coffee maker is just as much overkill as the Coleman A/C unit and a couple of other things I have not mentioned yet. I wonder just how many gallons of gas the generator will eat to keep all the AC goodies running in there. Maybe a tank will last all night in the desert?

That's a deal, buddy pal! (not sure how long the A/C unit noise, generator noise and generator fumes will be tolerated as that will be an interesting social experiment!
