I have mentioned this van a few times in my posts, since it is several hours away from my location i have not had a chance to get pics of it. However the friend i bought it from got a couple for me last time he was down at his property.
As you guys can see it is a little rough, Hopefully in the near future i may finally get it home to start work. Meanwhile i can at least give a bit more info as to the specs and build plan.
Specs:
1980 Chevy G20
90,xxx kms (not sure of exact kms atm)
400 sbc/Th350 transmission (Trans has less then 30 thou km on it)
Factory curtis conversion van with full camper equipment.
Build plan:
Strip out camper parts as the layout for the bed will not work for my application. Will probably save the parts to build a teardrop type trailer later on.
Build a platform bed in the back of the van and possibly either redo the front seats in cloth or replace them with cloth seats from another GM vehicle.
Now from what i understand the G vans used the same suspension as the C10/20 pickup of the same years. So with that said is it safe to assume that at the very least i could use front lowering springs or spindles from a same year C10 to lower it a bit?
