Hey Guys,

My rear end went. I am thinking of going posi. I know where I can get one out of an S-10 and my friend says there's one he knows of out of an Astro. Which would be better, and are there any things I should look for.

Specs on rear end?

Hey Cody, I have 2 rear ends for atsros. If your end don't work out, I'll let them go CHEAP!!!!.........Pup

However, I live in Alberta Canada, and the shipping would be very costly.

I do appreciate the closeness of vanners. I had this post up for a day and I already had help. I guess that's one reason I am into vannin at 19 years of age.

Thats great safari, now we'll see you at an upcoming evant this year? I like the big chevys myself, but I have an 85 all window astro (not a bubbletop! LOL). I see what you mean about a 350. I recenty blew a head gasket on the 4.3. If the engine was NG, then I found a 350 4brl to "slip" into its place. But the old girl recovered w/ new gaskets and runs well. Sounds like you have a pretty nice project going. Good luck on it. Hope you can make an evant some time. Keep on vannin..................Pup

I am buying an '85 Astro with my friend for the rear end and other misc. parts. However I will want to get a posi rear end by Summer. Do you have one? My Gear Ratio right now is 3.42, do you suggest posi or what gear ratio do you think I should put in for racing? How much cdn?

BTW: My friend needs the tranny out of the astro, that's why we're going half n half. The body isn't in that great of condition. But it's only got 100k on the engine.
