| | | How to id a vintage bench seat. | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 197 member | OP member Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 197 | So today I went to my local JunkHeaven and found 2 seats from a 93 Ford Van but when I looked in the back I saw this bench seat that, you can tell, didn't belong there. It was old school vinyl blue (IN GOOD SHAPE) and it had seat belts. One thing I noticed was that at the ends of the bench it had armrests and the armrests had those lid pop-up ashtrays. I was so happy to see it and since I have a 75 E-150 shorty with a brown/tan and black and old ford blue color scheme going on, I bought it. How can I Identify the origin of the bench seat? Help me fellas. | | | Re: How to id a vintage bench seat. | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 559 | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 559 |

I lucked out and found Ford tags on the seatbelts of the tan bench I'm giving away, and Ford stickers on the captain chairs I just bought. Look all over the seat, under it, on the rails, inside the seat belts, etc. for a tag or sticker of some sort. Also the older GM buckles usually had a GM logo in the push button, and the Ford buckles that I've seen had a star type design on the push button. | | | Re: How to id a vintage bench seat. | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 197 member | OP member Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 197 | I looked all over and all found was GM on the seat belt latch. No other forms of ID. I will leave as is and install it in the van. I will take pics Thanks fellas | | | Re: How to id a vintage bench seat. | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 559 | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 559 | Is it a 3 or a 4 seater ..... the bench from the rear of a EXT is a 4, the other 3 benches are 3 seaters
Does it have clips or pads to lock them down to the floor board ?
