After using vinyl planks for the lowered floor we decided to make a DIY drink tray. Not feeling like cashing out 70 bucks for it and have to screw it on the doghouse (don't want leftover holes in case the tray doesn't do it), we made a groovy (ok, rather a cheesy) tray with what we had laying around catching dust in the garage. My little helper had fun, and loves the "Papa Van". Will be his ride in the future, so why not start now?! ;) As soon it is installed in the van I will post a picture of that, too.
PD: thinking about some battery-pack operated LEDs for underneath, ideas anyone?
Nice! Having a helper makes everything much more fun. Check out "cold cathodde" lights on eBay or LED rope lights. You can get both in 12V so they can be wired into the dash lighting.
Here the final fit. Nothing awesome, but the best part was having fun with Junior, and he likes the van as well, so that is great! Just a little bit to his 5th birthday and already a Vanner
