In my 89 e150, the previous owner hacked wires. Im trying to put in the heater control back in but i do not know which wire is hot. Out of the connector are 5 wires and they are yellow, orange /red., orange/ black, black, and blue/red. . Plz any help is appreciated

Not sure about the color coding, but a repair manual should have that info. Also, I would suggest buying a good quality multimeter.

A lot of the Fords didn't have 12v to the fan speed selector and resistors. They used the ground side. Varying the resistance to ground.
