Don't mind the mess, but I last night I finalized the brackets to mount the original seats from my 1991 Toyota Cressida to the existing swivel pedestals in the van. The brackets ended up being surprisingly simple and everything lined up better than I ever imagined it would.. I'll get some pictures of the brackets tonight hopefully.. Driving position is perfect, and they are super comfy!

I hooked power to them and verified that when I lean the back forwards and slide them around a bit, they both swivel all the way around just fine!! That is a huge relief because I was worried they wouldn't be able to swivel. They are quite a bit bigger than the original seats, and the stick shift is kind of in the way.

These are going to be recovered to match the design of the rear bench.

Looks good. That seat clears the shifter no problem? looks tight there.

I have to put it in reverse and slide the seat forward and back a few times, but it clears by less than an inch all around!

Seriously awesome, plus the fact the van is a manual trans, besides i doubt you'll be swinging while you're driving lol. Honestly one of the biggest reasons i'm super gun ho about restoring my pops old van was seeing pics of your van.

Wiring is underway! My dad is an OCD electrical guru when it comes to this stuff. He doesn't seem to think there will be any issues getting everything wired up in the next week or so.. Here's a quick example of his work in the Overhead console:

I also finished up the main electrical panel what will go on the left wall behind the driver's seat. This took longer than I would have liked, but I'm very happy with how it turned out. The back panel is 1" away from the sheet metal body so there won't be any dents or issues with that. The right side is an open cavity with a removable cover. In that area will be the fuse blocks and buss bars. This section of the panel is bumped out a few inches. The left side of the panel will be hidden behind the wall and the minibar will fit in that area so I had to make it shallow. Hope that makes sense. Inside of that will be wire paths and maybe a few small parts that won't need to be accessible often.. The cover for the fuse panel will be upholstered to match everything else.

There is also a small compartment on top of this that houses the light engine box for the fiber optic headliner. The depth of this whole panel was driven by the size of that part, and it fits perfectly!

Hopefully the pictures explain everything better than I did.. I'm exhausted lmao

I also finished up several of the wiring pass-thrus in the floor and was able to get the bedliner sprayed all the way up to the front seat area. That part will come a little later. Raptor liner is good stuff. Looks great and easy to use.. However, I don't think it is super heavy duty. I'd be cautious using it in a truck bed that will get abused, but it works great for my floor which will be mostly covered.. I guess we'll see how well it holds up in this step well..
