I got a bit more done over the weekend..

First, I finished the left side wheel well box. Inside I made some bracketry to hold the OEM jack and crank and possibly some tools. Might also put the power inverter inside of that box, but that's another project for later.

Then I took everything back out and I dropped the fuel tank! I dropped the tank to be able to gain access to mount the rear floor. The rear floor panel is diamond plate and there are 4x L-Track rails that are mounted through the floor (hence dropping the tank). The rear seat will mount to these rails and they will allow the seat to be moved to different positions, even turned around backwards if needed..

Anyways, We then cleaned up the rear floor and gave it a good sanding and wipe-down with wax/grease remover. After that was a nice thick application of Raptorliner bedliner. I was impressed with this stuff. It sprayed out well and wasn't too much of a mess. It feels nice when dry too. Not sure if I would use it for an outdoor bed, but it will work just fine for what I'm doing here. Most of it won't be visible once the floor covering is in, but I wanted the OEM metal floor to be as protected as possible. I'll do the front parts once I get any and all holes figured out up there.

The interior sprayed.

I also sprayed the side box panels with the Raptorliner. It looks much more wavy than it is, it was still wet in the picture.

Then, I cut the diamond plate for the flooring and got it mounted. The boxes aren't in the picture, but they fit against the edge of the flooring nice and tight.

I re-installed the tank and buttoned everything up. We also got the 4th and final strip of underglow mounted behind the rear bumper while it was all apart. Tonight I'm going to work on welding up the mounting brackets for the rear bench seat.

Definitely feeling these late nights, but It'll all be worth it in the end.

I got the bracketry and mounting for the rear seat finished last night. Here is what I came up with: Don't mind the mess..

To move the seat, I will have to remove the 4 hold-down nuts and lift the seat off the track, then reposition the mounting studs and re-install the nuts.. Not as easy as a simple slider but shouldn't be too hard. This also has the advantage of being useful as tie-down track as well if needed.

I'm hoping to finalize the rear setup 100% tonight. Finishing the hardware to mount the side boxes, mounting the seat, foam vibration tape, etc.. I want to get that completely done.

After that I'll be moving on to either the front seat brackets to accept the Toyota Cressida seats I'll be using, or maybe I'll work on building my electrical panels for inside the walls..

I started working on the front seat adapters to mount the Toyota seats to the Swivel bases.. It's a little tight, but I think everything will work well. No pictures of that yet

Instead, here is the final fitment of the rear bench in the "all the way back" position. I layed out there and watched the ceiling for a while so I didn't get as much done as I would have liked.

You're my DIY hero!

If it's broken- I'll fix it! If it's not- I'll break it to figure it out how it works so I can fix it.

Don't mind the mess, but I last night I finalized the brackets to mount the original seats from my 1991 Toyota Cressida to the existing swivel pedestals in the van. The brackets ended up being surprisingly simple and everything lined up better than I ever imagined it would.. I'll get some pictures of the brackets tonight hopefully.. Driving position is perfect, and they are super comfy!

I hooked power to them and verified that when I lean the back forwards and slide them around a bit, they both swivel all the way around just fine!! That is a huge relief because I was worried they wouldn't be able to swivel. They are quite a bit bigger than the original seats, and the stick shift is kind of in the way.

These are going to be recovered to match the design of the rear bench.

Looks good. That seat clears the shifter no problem? looks tight there.

I have to put it in reverse and slide the seat forward and back a few times, but it clears by less than an inch all around!
