Hi all, been a long time since I have been on this site. Sold my last van back in 2012 before my son was born and regretted it, now he is 6 and I have bought another one! Anyway, I have a 1978 Chevy G10 Sportvan and am having real trouble finding a lower control arm (drivers side) for it after it fell through due to rust - do any of you clever folk know if I can use Chevy van parts from other years for the '78? And can you recommend someplace to buy if so?

Thanks! (p.s. Am in Canada)

Simon

Rock Auto has them. Here is a link. They ship to Canada as well! I selected the 350 model, so change you engine size on the site if needed. Not sure if it really matters with control arms though...

Did yours fit? Rockauto doesn’t have them under the G20 350 but a G30 and, from what I understand as I’ve just spent two weeks reading this forum, and having to rebuild my front end, the G30 control arms will not bolt up to a G20 crossmember. You have to replace the cross member with a 1ton unit. I can not say I witnessed this firsthand, only from the forums, which is why I asked if the ones you ordered were from a G30 and if they fit?
